I will tell him come this winter to mention the cold = lack of sleep and maybe something will be done.
My bf suspects that it's very expensive to fix these units and they don't want to spend the $$ so they try half *** ways of doing it that don't work. He has lost faith that they'll ever really fix it because of $$.
We'll see if he even attempts to get it fixed this winter. He was so soured by the whole experience last winter, at that time he just declared he'd live with it. Maybe he'll change his mind come this winter...

Well they offered my by a position as a trainer and he accepted. They will definately/hopefully deal with the lack of heat situation now that they'll be 2 people who need it! I think they plan to give him a trainee after the labor day holiday.

I have worked for both Werner and USXpress. Everyones opions are different but I like USXpress much better. USXpress seems to treat thier drivers with more respect. If you live in Ohio or Indiana they will love you to death if you sign up on thier Family Dollar, Dollar Tree or General Dollar account. It is hard work you will unload your trailer anywhere from 1 to 3 stops. Some stores are hard to back in to. But you will get home most weekends and sometimes spend the night at home midweek and you can make up to a grand many weeks. Otherwise, $1,000.00 in a week is unheard of for driving a truck when you first starting out just about anywhere. Just be careful and take your time many Work Comps Claims are common on those accounts if you're not creful. Just call a recruiter and ask about these accounts. They also have automatics but for now on all of the brand new trucks will be 10 speeds. Whoever you choose, I wish you and your family goodluck.

I may be misreading this, are you saying they will be going to manuals, or staying with the 10speed autoshifters?:biggrin_25525:

    GUESS WHAT?
There was a recall on the clima cab apu and they HAVE to fix it. To bad my bf went through one whole winter with NO HEAT but hopefully this winter they will fix it right so he's not so miserable.
    I'm so happy they're FINALLY FIXING IT:biggrin_2559:
yes it took a !##$%^& RECALL for them to finally do something about it for their drivers but I'm so glad they're finally being FORCED to do it or I feel they would have never done it.

well for me I enjoy hearing positive things about Werner since I'm probably going to work for them when I get done at Road masters. I see it like this. If someone goes to a party doesn't hook up with anyone, gets drunk. Then they wake up & tell people that the party SUCKED. but on the other hand if another person went to the same party, met someone they hit it off great, hung out all night talking, but didn't drink to much. They would tell you that the party was one of the best. So consider the source.

Actually, that would tell me about the behavior and poor choices made by the party attendee, than it does about the party itself. The first step, using your analogy, is to find the correct party to attend BEFORE you head out the door.:biggrin_25523:

When I worked for Werner. I did the dollar general account for a couple wks. My apu was broke the dispatcher told me when you want something fixed go to thermo king and send a message to breakdown. I did it and they fixed it on the spot no hastle or nothing. You gotta put these companies on the spot if they dont fix something right take it to another shop outside of werner and send a message to breakdown tell them where you are. make sure your no where near a terminal they will fix it. They got the money to do it. I have gotten many things fixed on my truck this way. Plus you dont have the hastle of waiting at a terminal where no one gives a $$$$ about you and will take there time getting to your truck because they are underpaid and disgruntled...
