Ok, I was pre-hired for 6 companies and I think I have narrowed it down to 2. Schneider or Werner. I wish I would have kept my butt off the internet as far as complaints go!! I should have just went with my gut instinct, but hey, you gotta research. I see very little complaints about schneider and most of the complaints sound like hot headed people who could not get along with anyone, the complaints dont seem solid enough. Schneider actually sounds pretty good right now. Werner.... there are a ton of complaints but I like the package they offer and the route. Is it true that if you start with Werner and then try to move on, having the name "Werner" next to your name hurts you? It does not seem highly respected. Schneider will problaly be the way I go but really need some experienced driver input. Any info at all would be great!
Werner or Schneider?

I can speak from experience I have drove for werner. They tell you training hours of 175 of so if you have 6 months OTR experience and then add on another 75 because we have no available trucks. I was with 2 trainers and they run us like a team from day one and paid me 400$ a week. I was suppose to make 32 cents a mile and when the final day came when I was in my own truck I found out I was making 26 cents a mile. They lied to me from day one. At the end I drove the truck home and told them I was quitting and they refused to buy me a bus ticket. They put on my DAC report that it was abandomnet of equiptment and tried to nail me with the repo charges. I hired a lawyer and defended myself. It's a good thing I kept a record of the phone calls and recorded them all, Along with taking pictures of the QuailCom messages.
I zapped them with court fee's and made them clean my DAC report.
Also, I was in California and I had to take a rent a car to a terminal in Indian to pick up my truck, There was four of us in the car which was a small Saturn at the time. That right there give you a nice feeling of "You're Screwed"

Mike12762 Thanks this. -
Well from doing my own research I would def. steer clear of Werner and go with Schneider. I have not seen many complaints at all if any with Schneider, but I know for a fact I have with Werner, good luck!

They did that with me too. I was suprised that even though I was a female they had me drop these 3 guys off in 3 diff states to drop them off to there recovery trucks. I was a little uncomfortable but I dealt with it. And they had to nerve to put us in a pt cruzer and I was the only 1 that fit and the other guys had some problems trying to fit and it seemed like when everybody was in the car it was very low to the ground.
