What would be the best out of the 2 to work for? I went to TDT school in 2001 worked until 2004, and found it IMPOSSIBLE to get hired after being out for 6 yrs. I ended up going back to TDT school just to get a job (for the most part) and my choices are Swift, and Werner so far. Which would you pick? Any feedback would be great. Thanks
Werner or Swift?

Neither! Try the other 498,000 trucking companies in the US! You will have much better success. Don't follow the herd!
-
either 1 they are both geared for newbies

Which one are you leaning towards?

Werner so far. I am not thrilled about the computer log though.

I am going to Mansur Trucking in Wi weds for a Interview test drive, ect ect., they seem like a good company with wonderful people, the amount of work they have I am unsure of. I also talked to a a guy who owns a company called Northland Dedicated. I was wondering if any of you have heard of Norhtland?

1. Swift recruiting are a bunch of liars.
2. Many oppritunities out of the gate with Werner. Dedicated and reginal
3. Werner keeps you moving.
4. Electronic logs IS a good thing. You can stay legal and your dispatcher knows it and will not give you any impossible loads.
5. They drive many types of trucks: Petes, KW, Freightshakers, Internationals.....
6. Big Companies = many drop yards and terminals so if you are running ahead of time, they will have you drop at a terminal and pick up a loaded trailer. Thus, keeping you moving.
7. Dependable home time. -
How long is there training? ive driven plenty of tractor trailers just never civillian,i feel confident and safe in my driving i just dont know DOT log books ect.i wouldn't be thrilled if i had to go to a school for a Class A since i already have one...lol
