I honestly have never seen a werner truck pulling a reefer lol.
-
My dad tried to get in that division years ago but they werent hiring. I think now they run all their trucks in that fleet petes,kw's,freighshakers, dont know if they got the prostars in that fleet yet. They run everywhere unless you are dedicated
Hometime dont know what that is.
Pay well its werner so it could be better i'm sure.
benny's dunno
I think they run wabash reefers with carrier units.
not much help but its a start since i dont work there -
Miles....... no idea since i don't run in that division.
The tractors are the same as the van fleet as far as equipment. Most of the reefer trailers seem to be newer so it is probably easier getting the tandems to slide.
Benefits are going to be the same as any other werner driver.
The only thing I have seen advertised is 48 state over the road for reefer division so they run everywhere I would assume.
There hometime is just like the OTR division. A minimum of 3 weeks out at a time and you get 1 day off for every 6 days you work. -
I think reefer drivers get 2c more than van, but it's been a while since I checked... so don't quote me on that. lol.

Less than 6 months experience is 2c less pm than VAN
6 Months Exp is Equal pay to van
2 years + is more than van based on exp
There is up to a 2cpm Monthly bonus for solos and 3.5cpm monthly bonus for trainers
Bonus scale as follows
Solo - 9500+mi - 1/2cpm
- 10,001+mi - 1 1/2cpm
- 11,501+mi - 2cpm
Trainer - 11,501+mi - 1 1/2cpm
- 14,001+mi - 3 1/2cpm
Stop pay - 25 for all stops effective mar 1
Solo mileage wise, TCU is doing better than van, flat or regional, my friend on tcu solo has averaged 10,206 Mi per month going home 5 days out of every month
Trainer mileage I have averaged 16,433 Mi per month going home 5 days every month
Equipment - Same as van/regional. Your personal preference compared to availability / experience.
Hometime - 1 for 7, rounding up after 3
Edit : Wanted to confirm before posting
Newbies get a 1/2cpm raise at 3 and 6 months, a 1cpm raise at 9 and 12 months, a 1 cpm raise at 18 and 24 months, then have cent raises every 6 months up to five years, followed by 1 cpm raises every year... It's a fairly convoluted pay scale.
Hope this helps.Drop'n'Hook and hunts2much Thank this. -
tcu raises must be different than van's. i have gotten a total of 1cpm raise since being with the company for nearly 1.5 years now.
