Some regions are easy to get onto depends if they have the frieght. Dedicated depends on if they have accounts in your area. Family Dollar, Dollar General, Office Max, General Mills, Walmart. Those are some of the accounts held although not all over the country.

After you have done your training and are being issued your truck see what is available. They may have something then if not put yourself on the list and check back every month or so to check for openings.

    Good luck!:yes2557:

Exactly what Dreaman said. Once you call Driver Placement ask to be put on the list for routes in/near your zip code. If you go with whatever is available, you can get a message on the Q/C asking if you want a route that has opened up. This can happen anywhere from days to years after you start.

Why wouldn't you just call Werner and ask them? Because info in the web is so much better?

Sure, give them a call. That way they can blow sunshine up your ### so that you sign with them. (It worked for me) Don't bother listening to the people responding who are going through it or have experienced it firsthand. Wsn't the original poster's question in the spirit of the forum/this thread?

Sincemy training was extended to the point it was, I was offered a dedicated, home daily route. I was told point blank by driver placement the other day, "Normally we don't offer these to students just out of training, but since you have xxx many hours..." Even the terminal manager was surprised by my luck.
