I called Werner on a Thursday and was placed on a bus by Tuesday. I had a nice scenic route down 101 and arrived at the San Bernardino station the same night. I called a cab and was given a room at Laquinta Inn. I did orientation for the following two days and was processed out so I could have a trainer. They didn't have any in Fontana Ca so me and 3 other people were given a rental car and told to hit the Dallas terminal. My trainer called me when I got to Dallas but he turned out to be a smoker and I had requested a non-smoker. I called my sdm and he said he would assign me another one.
So far Werner has been a cool company. I still have 270 hours left of training so I might feel a little different once I finish it....lol. After that I will do teams for 6mths-1yr then I will try to become a trainer. Don't let the horror stories scare you. Yeah the pay is less but You are going to gain experience and all you need is one year. After a year your pretty much set to do what you want. Just get that year.

I just finished up with a trainer from near Visalia Ca. Easy going guy, non smoker, if you want to change trainers during your training see if Hector is available.

Got my trainer. Hes a cool dude from Arizona. We've been to Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, new Hampshire, and now we are headed to Georgia. Had to use nausea pills on the first night but that was it. I have 26 out of 275 completed. Gonna get another 10 today. It's been fun traveling the US living from truck stop to truck stop.

I'll be headed down to Allentown Pa in a few weeks for orientation, gotta say it's nice to hear a good story about werner instead of someone's horror story

I leave for Indianapolis Tuesday. I hope there's a trainer available for me right away. My recruiter put me on the family dollar account. Anyways glad you're happy so far! Keep us updated.

Werner is a ok company been there almost a year last Sunday was the first time ever I had to wait 2 or more hours for a load(it was a Sunday so I understand, equipment is good I personally don't like the brake pedal on the petes and kw but it just me.. right now I'm taking the oldest truck (52*** series)in the fleet to Omaha and get a better truck issue, I'm planning to stay with them as long as the miles keep flowing and paychecks look decent.
