I hope you're joking. But if your not here goes. What about benefits? Do you have a family and are they covered the best way at company X? How about retirement, safety, and 1000 other questions you can ask the company to compare. Do your research if you what the best for you. Just on this thread you can make a list to compare. But if you don't want to then just go with the highest paying company and I'll bet in a few years the driver that planed out his or her employment will be far ahead of you even if they are hauling swimming pools and movie stars. However, you won't be around in a few years to compare.

Sounds like New England to me.

I see that you're talking about California. What does that have to do with the Northeast?

Speaking of Swift, do they still do a physical aptitude test ie. the "work well exam" during orientation?

new drivers should actually look for the outfit that has the fastest trucks, even if it is only a 3 mph difference. that mere 3 mph could keep you out of that dangerous slow trucker cluster.I'll declare once again,it is not always about the money nor the cents per mile.If i were to be a noob,I would certainly opt to make a few cents less per mile and drive something akin to a real truck.

I don't care who you are, being relegated to 62 mph,BY CHOICE even, will begin to suuuck after the initial 30 minutes.

hauling freight is vastly different from pulling an end dump and/or permitted loads and general freight hauling is less than < stimulating after the initial 30 minutes. opt instead to pull some form of specialized freight as opposed to general freight.

swimming pools and movie stars are both high maintenance so they should be deleted from the equation.

The only problem with driving a 62 MPH truck:

    1. The driver of the 61.5 MPH truck you are passing will not drop the cruise control for the ten seconds needed to let you pass, which leads to:

    2. The "super trucker" in a "real truck" riding two feet from your rear bumper while cursing you on the CB.

Actually, there is one other problem:

    3. The "super trucker" in a "real truck" doing 55-60 that speeds up to 65 when he sees the logo on the side of your truck, then slows back down when you drop back in behind him.
