Haven't been to class yet but I would think no flip flops, tennis shoes ok. But I also believe if you want to be treated as a pro then dress like a pro. And also think about safety( ankle injuries and such) how long you going to get paid if you twist a ankle?Common sense people that's all it is about.

Werner does not have a dress code for drivers per se, but there is a section in the Driver Handbook under Chapter One: Employment Policies called 'Your Appearance'. Hope that helps : )

well my dad always wears his Werner shirt with logo on delivery days, and jeans,or kaki shorts. He always wears steal toes on those days, one role container to the foot, and snap your foot is broke. He does wear tennis shoes on other days. I would never wear flip flops aka:ankle twisters.

ok all i have to say on this is who in their right mind would wear flip-flops driving a truck. People this is work, unless you are driving your truck to the beach leave the flip flops at home!

I have seen plenty of Werner drivers wearing flip flops while pumping gas. Some Werner drivers just don't care because they feel the company just don't care. It seems Werner puts policies in writing and they obviously break them when it convient for them to save money and screw the driver. I am learning each department at Werner has their own set of rules.

i wear flip flops once in a while. the terminal manager at Springfield saw me wearing them and told me to take them off cause my toes can get cut off by the pedals in an accident... (i wasn't driving when he told me this)

LMFAO! I wear sandals and go barefoot alot in the summer. Been through plenty of inspections and never said a word about it. Your statement is incorrect. There is no regulations on footwear.
