Thanks. It was a success after a lot of trial & error. Only limitation in the end was the other man’s rig (so to speak), given that it was a leased company condo.

I’d change a couple of things:

1). the new SS antenna mounts by Robert at Clays Radio Shop.

2). The other change I would make would be to the smaller TAC COMM TRC-1 Radio Carrier.

- Uniden 980 & baby amp inside; and
- West Mountain Radio ClearSpeaker attached to an outer side panel.
- Quality mic of choice on a GEARKEEPER at top of left corner.
-Industrial Velcro to keep on dashtop.

The carrier has optional top plate and end cover. Get both, IMO.

It’s actually an easy truck to run your own Co-phase coaxial and clean DC power with a dashtop radio.

Good merchandise and crappy work or semi-decent work and not much merchandise? I guess it all depends on what you're looking for.

 

Commerce city Colorado has a cb shop Across from the TA truckstop
