I had a customer ask me today if I was having trouble finding trucks for loads. He said he'd been hearing from some of his colleagues they are having real trouble finding capacity and rates are skyrocketing. I'm not really seeing it, but figured I'd ask here to see what you all are seeing on rates out of Los Angeles area?

It's cheaper to run wine than diesel. I don't pass Blythe. Cali is so far in debt anything with wheels is fair game. I would rather take my chances in Commie states than Ca. I run Texas plates. When they take a tape measure and check the mud flaps on a trailer I picked up & charge me $ 400.00 for something I don't even own, They can come get it at the line. The lower 49 works for me.

Skyrocketing? I hear guys complaining about low rates. But I am gonna do my part to try and force those CA rates higher. I was recently leased to a company running from NC to CA and back. I left the company because of the low rates on that freight. And my truck will not be legal in CA after the end of this year. So , I won't be competing for that freight out there. So if the rates stay low out there, you can't blame me.
