I should be there sometime in the morning. I'm planning on leaver here in Flagstaff around 3 am local time. After delivering I get to go hang out in Barstow for a couple days. Taking my 34 hours, getting my truck serviced, washing clothes.... Then get to go back to Irwin to reload Thursday morning. I tried to talk them into loading me tomorrow. They said they couldn't since they are still using what I'm loading!

I am trying to remember. There is the main road, barstow that goes by painted rock. There is another road that curves around towards calico ghost town. Seems like that is the road we used to take to go to the marine base. Yermo rail head. Not sure if that is the restaurant , but there used to be a little pub in the curve somewhere before irwin.

i spent 6 months commuting to yermo to a paint detail....used to take that road all the time

that and the backway into barstow, to hit the bar scene....lol

i think i only ever took irwin road 3 times...

painted rock is cool, you'll see it about a mile before the gate....then you'll go by the muesum full of russian vehicles to the dust bowl load/unload area

bring drinks with you, its hot and as a civilian your not allowed to shop on base

yermo and irwin converge before jackhammer, irwin and the back way to barstow converge after the pass (as your headed on base)......if i remember right
