I used to run three trips a week between Evanston, WY and Brighton, CO. The only time we didn't go was when they closed the gates on us. I'd take an Elk Mountain blizzard any day over narrow lanes and eastern city traffic.

Then they get stuck in ATL because one snowflake falls and they shut the whole city down. Then they are stuck on I-285 with 10,000 other cars getting robbed. Stuck for 3 days. Then there we are out west biggest worry is which TS to park at because always plenty of space.

Love doing the east for the challenge of it. Everything is much tighter. Docks, Roads, time frames. The problem is most CPM companies don't pay near enough for the challenge; a cent or two don't cut it.
That leaves the west and midwest. While the winter might be a challenge for a newbie, it is nothing special for us that have been out their. Getting a load out of the mid-west can be tough at times, but more miles can be made.
