Western Express now owned Kevin Knight?

    I heard a viscious rumor today that Knight just bought out Western Express. Can anybody lend any truth to this? Cause I've heard nothing from a "reliable" source...

    OK, I did some searching, and found some old info from 2010 about Knight bailing Western Express out, and then backing out of the deal. But I got a driver here swearing on a stack of bibles that Knight Transportation just bought Western Express out real recently. Since this info hasn't hit the "trades", I'm what you call skeptical. Just asking to see if anybody mighthave access to info I don't....

    Western Express central office looks like a trucking company should. The rest of the places look like dirt holes with no money going to them at all. If some one were to buy them out, it would not surprise me and I dont think the amount to be paid would be much either. Maybe 500mill?

    Western express is still western. Knight hasn't bought them out.

    For about........5 years or so the Knight owns, is buying, etc. Western story has been going around.

    The only Knight-Western connection that I have ever been able to confirm is

    Wester hired a few upper management people from Knight.

    Knight may have purchased some of the corporate bonds WE issued, but that would be a bond investment, not taking any sort of position in the company.

    Knight management moved in western just a short time ago, a few weeks now upstairs offics thats true.

    I was just in nashville last week and get they have had alot of outside consultants coming in trying to streamline there business but everyone i have talked to including terminal managers in nashville and houston there's no knight people in the front offices or anywhere else in western.
