Being that you mentioned Central Ref, of the two companies you are looking at I would go with Central... even after the Swift buyout.

Western Express and C.R. England DO NOT have a good reputation, online, offline, in truck stops and probably on the CB. I would stay away from both those companies unless you absolutely have to go work for them.

    Just my $.02

I haven't driven in 5 1/2 years.... But because of my location, and past bad choices I made in the past: Westerns refresher was my only choice...... I can't comment on whether or not western will "suck less" because I have no experience with CR England ..... This is what I CAN tell you if you decide to go to western............ Don't be surprised if you are "forced" to go into the flatbed division, be prepared to actually do your refresher (30,000 miles) with ANOTHER refresher- JUST LIKE YOU!....... I'm going to bite my tongue regarding anything else....... But I will say if you use the advanced search feature on here: 99% of what you read IS TRUE........ I'll say this: IF my MVR wasn't messed up, and all my problem was- was that I hadn't been in a truck for 7 years- WESTERN would NOT been my choice!....... But western DOES serve a purpose (2nd chance company), and for that- I won't complain... Hope that helps.
