I drove for Roehl, good place to start. I looked at Knight and Western one time and chose Roehl over them. Roehl recruiters are completely honest and are company employees not headhunters like most places use. Roehl likes to micro manage their drivers, and miles will probably be a little less then they "try" to give you but if I had to do it all over again, I would start with them again.

How many mile did you average weekly. My loser brother in law works for western and averages 2800 a week.

I pulled open deck most of my time there and averaged 2000 miles a week, some weeks it could be 3200, others in might be 1500. They seem to cut my miles if I was having a good month, and I talked to other drivers who thought as I did that the more per mile you made, the less miles you saw. Pay at Roehl was more than Western or Knight so I still made more at Roehl. If you pull van your mileage will be higher.

Avoid Western Express, I went to their orientation, talk about disorganized, take a test, they will give you the answers so everyone gets 100% if you are on the refresher course, you will have to work for them for 9 months or they will charge you $2500. be ready to spend days in the hotel while waiting for a trainer or truck.

    good luck
