Where's the stupid red wire that overrides 4 ways when brakes applied please? Side cutters are itchin to get at that one.

Inside the steering column cover. Just open it up, it just snaps together. Just don't break the snap clips like my dealer did. (got a new one AFTER I complained.)

I thought it was inside the turn signal switch but I could be wrong.

Been a while (2013 since I had it done) but I know my dealer took the cover off the steering column and did something there. Unless I missed him going into the turn signal switch?

Look in the body builder book on WS’s website, it’s in there. My 16 didn’t have that issue.

This is how I did mine.
But for some reason, I'm remembering that the red wire to be cut was on the bottom.
    But it's been a few years...lol

Mine is a 2013 and like I say, all I remember is they took the cover off the steering column. I remember that because they broke it and tried to let it slide, LOL.

Yeah I just looked at this one, which is a 2017, there's no red wire inside the turn signal switch housing. Unless I'm color blind lol

I swear this truck has two squirrels holding the wiring harness together. Driving down the road at night, all the lights go dim for a second, then go back to normal. And now the unthinkable has happened. It started messing up the AM/FM radio.

I checked all battery connections, all are good and tight, no corrosion anywhere that I've seen (shouldn't be any anyways, the #### truck is only 8 months old)...

Any ideas before we call the dealer?

I have 2013 4900EX. I took the cover off the bottom of the signal stat. Two small Phillips screws hold it on. I took the top cover off when I first got the truck and could not find the red wire either. A while back I looked at the body builder manual and I realized it showed the bottom of the signal stat. Hope that helps.

IH Truck Guy and Cetane+ Thank this.
