Three weeks ago, a new kitchen manager was hired. She has arbitrarily decided there will be no more pie sold in the restaurant. Not much of a big deal for me, but it's one of the things this truck stop advertised as a specialty.

My beef with her is she changed up the mayonnaise for generic Miracle Whip. I detest Miracle Whip. It was brought to me as mayo, so I slathered a good amount on my burger, then took a big ol' bite. YACK!! I've been here numerous times and it has always been mayo, so I didn't expect anything else.

Well, what's the big deal, right? This kitchen manager insists it is "basic mayo" and does not understand the difference between salad dressing and mayonnaise. If she can't tell the difference, this woman has no business being anywhere near a kitchen, much less managing a commercial one. What's next? Filling the salt shakers with sugar because one white crystal is the same as the other?

I'm scratching this one off my stop list. After all, the only reason I ever stopped here was for the food.

    HFC and Gitty Thank this.
