I drove for them for 3 months. Quit because I remembered how much I hate driving western mountains, but they were absolutely great people. Good money and good people. When I quit they bent over backwards to get me home. Even let me pack my stuff in a crate and they had it shipped to my house... at no cost to me.
They have volvos KW and I think a few Pete's. Nicely appointed. Problem is you go out and back to Minnesota every week.
I kept in touch with another driver who went to orientation with me. He's also from Texas. He is still with them and loves driving for them. Says he gets home whenever he wants to.

That is a good looking truck.

Potentially, this particular driver could stay west for a number of years to come, while working for Swift Refrigerated, earning a decent living in the process. Regardless of the economy, people still have to eat.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.

The "Western 11" fleet at Wilson was part of the Ashley buyout of Wilson's west coast assets. Anyone who wants on those routes should contact Ashley for it. Have friends over there.

That's weird. There seems to be a handful of MN-based companies that pretty much exclusively go back and forth to the west coast like that.
I agree. Running I-70 a lot would suck.
