My other trucks all have the round tank that hangs on the frame, works great, no troubles. I just picked up a 359 Pete that has a stretched frame and I want to keep a clean frame look, so I’m wanting a tank set’s behind the sleeper. I’m using frameless end dumps and I believe 35 gallon would be sufficient and I’ve seen a few aluminum rectangular tanks. Is the aluminum more prone to stress cracks is bolted down to the frame rails? Would mind a steel one but plastic is not an option. Who all makes something I’m looking for or something I’d like?

Ive had
this 50gal aluminum tank for 3 years now and haven't had an issue with cracks. I've found with temperature swings the steel fittings/aluminum bungs tend to be weepy even with thread sealant though.
