I think shippers and receivers should be held to a standard on how long it takes to get in and out. You can't just sticking it in the truckers forever ! At some point we need to spread the regulations, fines, pain, and suffering!

Excellent idea. I see there have been bills presented like DeFazio' Bill, HR756: http://www.landlinemag.com/Story.aspx?StoryId=22005#.Utw4_dXnbnA but nothing came of it. You could have the times reported by drivers onsite to a web database. That database could grow and be more accurate as more drivers used it and kept shippers and receivers accountable. Then of course the info could be accessed by drivers to plan better. Does that sound about right?

Yeah, they need to have some skin in the game, as they say. I see there have been bills presented like DeFazio' Bill, HR756:http://www.landlinemag.com/Story.asp...5#.Utw4_dXnbnA but nothing came of it.

Another idea would be having a web database where drivers report back online how much time they're waiting on the job. That database could grow and be more accurate as more drivers used it and started to push for keeping shippers and receivers accountable. Then of course the info could be accessed by drivers to plan better. Does that sound about right?

I have one of those its called a 10 meter radio on the upper bands. You key up and start talking and they can hear you on their cell phone. Its funny watching a phone come away from their ear and them looking at your truck like did he just say that? Yes hunny yes I did now get off your #### phone and drive!!!
