very, very old video..trucker is an arse.

just provide the minimum amount of information, and be on your way.

he (the trucker) had something to hide, false logbook, perhaps? whatever.....

when i was a student in trucking school, my best instructor said, "99.999% of your troubles, start when you OPEN YOUR MOUTH"....

i recall his words, after now over 50 years ago......and he was....1,000% RIGHT

First time my dad got stopped (with me in truck lol)
Probably said 10 words to officer.. couple yes sirs no sirs bout it
As we pulled away he said…
“Good lesson boy….only speak when you’re spoken to and don’t volunteer nothin!”
Still holds today

 

Reminds me of the moron at the border check point who wouldn't cooperate. Shortly after they busted out his driver's side window, he started cooperating.

 

I learned this worked in my house. My sister did not and that’s why she got beat more than I did.

However, I didn’t apply same knowledge in school and spent lots of time in trouble.

 

My dad , who was a police officer for 7 years and a game warden for 32 years , always told us :

“Never break more than one law at a time and you will be fine “
