Once you couple you are stuck. Just make sure you grease your junk and tug it or your connection could dry up. That would be a messy break-up

It is also important to keep an eye of the thingamabob and keep the thingamijigger greased. And at least every 500 miles check your BRTs.

Lepton1 and Steel Dragon Thank this.

I did that once on my first tractor trailer job. Those 90 hour work weeks WILL catch up to you eventually.

Here's one of the most galactically STUPID things you can do driver.
Park on the end, near the entrance as a bonus, of a busy truckstop.
Real live example, nice and fresh.

Sure, go by what others say, but then you get out there and do the same thing and get the giggles as you do it. Experience is the best teacher and when you think you know it all you start over and do all the silly things again a couple of decades later.

As soon as possible ditch the mega company and find a small company with good people.
You'll never be happy slaving at a mega company.

Watch for some small start ups, they can be very shifty and disappear in a flash leaving you stranded so find one that has been around a bit and has drivers that have worked a long time and are looking to slow down so they need new drivers.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
