I had that issue my first time trying to get parts......I called Fitzgerald and they emailed me the build sheet. So if its a part that I need that hasn't been taken off the engine yet, I look at the part numbers on the build sheet.

That would be very helpful.. I just replaced a exhaust manifold .. it took the Detroit shop 3 attempts to get the right 3 piece manifold and I gave them the Fitzgerald serial #

Well I said that above….. and today I went hunting for a injector harness and Clarke Power and Freightliner have a different part number than Fitzgerald has on there build sheet, and they aren’t interchangeable….

DDEC III and IV should be only 3 harnesses. Jakes, PacBrake, or no engine brake

I changed the injectors about 2 years ago.....they only have about 70k miles on them...not gonna change them. Are the injector cups separate?

Injector cups are separate from the injectors, they are brass cups in the cylinder head. The head has to come off to replace them correctly because of the way they are swedged in the head.

It depends on the year of engine and the type of injectors. If you have the new style head with N3 injectors you can install cups without removing the head. But from reading your posts I am assuming you have the old style injectors and cups.

Did you get the engine apart yet?

They're finishing it up today....im gonna take the head to the shop Monday. Yes I have the old style where the head has to come off.. the shop will do that as well.

Block should be done tomorrow(Clarke power is doing the block). I gonna buy a new head, and found out today ill need a new crank. Fitzgerald used an aftermarket crank. The metal is so thin on this one, I cant believe it lasted. However, its scratched up pretty good. The holes that were drilled on them aren't even right. Ill post some pictures tomorrow. Turns out, I did get a mystery box from Fitzgerald. As far as the original issue..... the liner rings had a small space between the line and the ring.....(and its not supposed to) All 6 of them.
