From what I hear the Dispatchers are out of touch they lie and steal from you. I have been with him when he talks with these people and he can't get along with them over have the time. Now, my friend is working for Interstate out of Florida and likes them very well. The have office is Rice Lake, Wi, Sarasota, Fl, and Oh.

Thanks a lot, that was helpful..

Remember, every trucking company is only as good as the dispatcher. My dispatcher at TM is Trevor, who happens to be their best one. I got lucky. I have seen many drivers quit because their dispatcher sucked.

I been trying to research driveaway companies and found most pay 1.05 per mile, your responsible for fuel and the cost of transportation to get back home or to the next truck. i'm not seeing a good profit there. I know about having a tow vehicle but, wanted to see hoe everything worked before bought vehicle and hitch. If you have a 300 mile trip 1.05 mi, fuel 100-120, cost to get back home bus 60-80$ so I only made 100 for the day? hows that worth it? any info you could give would be helpful. am I missing something?

I did a lot of research into this, trying to decide what to do as a possible change in directions. I learned that yes you can make money but it isn't a lot unless you are doing more than one truck at a time by decking two or three trucks. I met a couple at one dealership a few years back who had a trailer setup that they could deck three trucks and have their pickup put on it between two trucks, I think the guy designed it so he could do the work as one person. They showed me what they were making (I think it was comparable to what I was making at the time) and I watched them as they unloaded the trucks and broke down the trailer.
I decided against doing this because the three companies I talked to would only let me do a single truck until I "proved" myself which meant I could not make any real money.Vacano Thanks this. -
I was looking at a company called AutoDriveAway before I found my current job. They said they paid .47/mi. and paid for fuel.

Trevor no longer works for tm. Looks like I will have to put tm on the back burner until they get there #### together.

For two years I have worked for TM and maybe I had half a dozen pay disputes that were quickly resolved.
Now, the past 3 months I have had nearly a dozen pay disputes and not only are they not resolved in a timely manner, they steal money from me. Yeah, I know I sound like a little #####, but you will see. Pay very close to your pay statements or you will lose hundreds of dollars. -
THANK YOU!!!! TRUCK,TRUCK,TRUCK FOR ARTICULATING THE SIMPLE TRUTH ! I'm a law school graduate who's only one 3-day exam away from being a fully licensed attorney and TM is currently abusing me in every possible way that I can imagine. Conversely, I've truthfully warned my dispatcher that I'm no stranger to successfully litigating cases in Federal Court. [ Email me and I'll send you a copy of my single-handed legal victory at the Federal level against a world-famous televangelist and his law school ] One of my former law school classmates currently works for the US Dept of Justice. Send me an email and together, perhaps we can teach these very "special" people some manners. Best Wishes, HerbChadbourne@gmail.com
pattyj Thanks this.
