Keep my record clean and as soon as I got some good experience, go to tanker.
Sirscrapntruckalot, meechyaboy and slow.rider Thank this. -
My advice to myself would be this: Don’t get married. I don’t care what anyone says, don’t ####ing marry her. If you are still dumb enough to insist on getting married anyway, make #### sure that woman really understands what it’s like to marry a trucker, because she might think she understands, but she probably doesn’t understand.
Blue jeans, Linte_Loco, TripleSix and 2 others Thank this. -
Get my pharmacology degree

Why is tanker so good in your opinion?
I'm new to trucking and I'm planning on getting my tanker endorsement soon. -
We hear those type horror stories every day.
Things that I wish I knew when I was young.
1. The most valuable thing that you will ever have in life is Your Name. Your business has your name on it. Your house, your car, your wife takes on your name. Your children are born with your name. Protect your name!
2. Your time is the most valuable thing that you can give another person. If they don’t value your time, don’t give them your time. Be on time. Being late is extremely disrespectful.Blue jeans, MACK E-6, okiedokie and 6 others Thank this. -
Listen and Act on the advice of experience.

You get paid for everything you do. And customers are usually glad to see you pull in. Less waiting times and when you do have to wait you get paid for it. Not just a few hours like some van drivers get either. You get paid until you get out of there no matter how long it takes. Tankers are usually shorter and with the tandems all the way to the rear are easy to back.homeskillet, gone4truck, Gypsy88 and 1 other person Thank this.

That's almost sig worthy right there.bryan21384, TripleSix and Kyle G. Thank this.

I'm going to have to rethink tanker jobs... I was thinking of getting into reefer just 'cause (a) I don't mind the hours & I've been told there's "reliably more dock space than you'd get for dry van" & (b) FOOOOOOD!
bryan21384 Thanks this.
