There are high paying jobs out there. I make 2500.00/wk and drive a pu. Not home for 4months bit you can't have cake and eat it to.

Then please tell me and others what LTL company pays casual workers more than 1,000 a week with bennies to start with..... Since you're so sure I'm wrong.

    BTW,

    Cryogenic jobs aren't LTL.

    How do you like Vitran?

I looked into them, but their CSA is horrible.

I don't know if I was just passing the same guy every night on 80/90, but the majority of Vitrans drivers accurately represent the carrier score.

    Ghost Ryder Thanks this.

ABF and Holland are hiring in GR.

Abf for city p&d, Holland has 1 line haul (more of otr until seniority to bid) and p&d.

You and I must keep running into the same driver that thinks speed limits don't apply to them.

That statement applies to a few drivers in many companies.

You could see if Pitt Ohio is hiring out of KZ. When I left there (TOL Terminal) I was making $1550-$1650/ week, had a brand new Mack pinnacle, and had full company paid benefits. Granted you may not start there, but in three years you get to top rate. I'd been there almost 12 years and just couldn't handle the monotony anymore, I need more variety, it was driving me crazy.

Depending on where you live--if you are talkin bout LTL--P&D 1100 is probably NOT gonna happen on the casual board--unless they are super busy--but shouldn't be a problem at all--runnnin linehaul--w/the possible exception of the NE--since many do laydowns of under 400 miles--greyhound have you considered--signing on outta Chicago area--even on x-tra board(where the boards clear quicker)jus get a cheap place near the heights--for example--till ya get some time in--and then pop a bid that works for you--and then spend your off days home--there are quite a few doing that in the Harrisburg area--as consolidations etc happened--and still doing pretty well--
    Just a thought
