osd is not an incident and ffe doesn't turn over incidents just accidents( that may be different now since the a holes from missippi took over) ... was more than 2500 is an accident under was incident. .. now I believe it's if any vehicle needs towed they changed it when the new ####ing son of ##### en half hour break went into effect. .. I am pretty sure by law the company has to show you there "public records "

A carrier has to comply with part §391 when they hire you. DAC is one tool used to do this. Generally DAC is going to list the dates you worked for a company. Why you left, and your rehire status. DAC will also have your drug testing information as well as your driving record and drivers license information. Carriers can get your insurance CLUE report as well as your driving record. @Jfairley00 stop making life harder then it need be. If your still an active driver with this company that is 90% of the battle. Order a copy of your DAC file and keep right on trucking!

With at least 100 million smart phones out there, no way would I not report any contact with anything! I was posting in facebook last week. A safety person friend of mine was posting some videos he has been emailed. He gets about 2 or 3 a week, mostly from his own company drivers!

It was my understanding that HOS violations and service failures could also be put on your DAC.

Companies can put anything on your DAC report. If they just don't like you, they'll put something like "violated company policy", without actually stating what you did. I saw a driver get fired and DAC reported for "violating company policy"; he had his shirt tail hanging out, so he wasn't properly dressed. That's why I preach to never snitch on yourself; you never know when some clown just doesn't like you and has some smoldering dislike boiling away inside him and is looking for some excuse to cause problems for you.

The way DAC is formatted anything like that only becomes a comment. Remember DAC is not the only source of information. The DAC summary is dates worked, reason for leaving and rehire information. If a company wants to blackball you they only need really do it with their own records. I have a copy of my DAC file I ordered in 2014. I highly recommend all drivers get a copy of theirs. If I had scratched paint off a trailer or knocked over a sign most likely I would not report it. Depending on where it happened. Several of the pickup places I went to had good video surveillance all over the yards. DAC is not your enemy. Order your DAC look over it real good. If you see an error see if you can get it fixed. If you need to set up a meeting with your old employer and try to work something out. I know a guy that drove for MS Carriers before they got bought out by Swift. Did not leave on good terms. Called someone at the now Swift terminal at Memphis about getting something removed. About a week later started driving for Swift and recently retired. Everybody knows the crap that will poison your career. Most of these carriers need warm bodies in these trucks so bad that are bending rules left and right. In fact today is the best time I know to check into trucking.

Blacklisting is something companies handle carefully depending on what state they are in.

I am actually treated as BL by a company in Indiana which is PERMITTED to verbally state that to a employer on the phone asking for information on my work there. But that company in Indiana is NOT permitted to put it in writing anywhere. So when I am rejected by a prospective employer I request records in writing from that prospective employer. Years ago I discovered through a phone call navigating one particularly nice prospective and communicative employer that the Indiana based company had me on BL.

Thus research into that type of activity began and it turned out to be state based in the courts should it be violated.

It's water seriously long under the bridge. I have not seen that company anywhere in Arkansas for ages I don't think they exist anymore or choose not to run this way. Which would be rather interesting considering we are in the process of finishing built a new steel mill complex from Krupp Steel near Oscela. North and West of Memphis.
