Raised landing gear higher than normal
    Dumped air
    Pushed switch to slide 5th
    Released tractor

    It still won't budge.

Currently have a huge gap between my truck and trailer. Trying to improve my 6.8mpg

Rock it hard like you do the tandems if they are stuck. If you want to slide the 5th wheel forward, first do all of the above and kinda dump the clutch driving forward... should get the pins to release. Once they do, put it on reverse and slowly slide to where you want it to be.

Be mindful if the trailer is loaded it could be dramatic in terms of distribution of weight. If rocking it doesn't release the pins, I'm sure someone else will have a remedy. Dudes have told me spraying something or other on the tandems and fifth wheel will get them loose but I don't recall what as I always just rock it.

Put soapy water or diesel on the slider track.

Soak the rails with a heavy duty anti rust petroleum product.....spray and soak it again. The rails are rusted to the frame.

Make sure the locking pins are retracting. Lock the diffs. Get in truck and rock it untill the pins release. Slide to whever.
If that fails unhook from trailer. Release 5th wheel locking pins. Take 5th wheel puller and pull the whole 5th wheel as far back as it will go.
If it refuses to budge, hammer the metal above the pins to try and get them to release. If that fails to release the pins take to a shop.

trying to slide the fifth wheel? Have you checked the obvious have the pins slid out yet that hold the 5th wheel? that will stop it moving i wouldn't touch anything just move the truck forward and it should slide perhaps if it hasn't moved for a long time there is a lot of dirt in there it may take abit of water or lubricant to loosen things up then try it again.

Soap and water on the locking pins and tracks.
Once you have a nice gap between the fifth wheel and trailer, rocking the truck slowly should release the pins.

Lock the differential so you have slightly more torque...gently rock the pins loose.

I find it easier to just release/park the trailer. Then move ahead disengage the fifth slide pins, and move it by hand with a large pry bar or crow bar. Then you can put it exactly where you want it.
It is very difficult to move with a trailer on it unless you can get all the weight off it and at the same time not pulling up on it. Has to be neutral weight.
