Based on stories, experience, hire rates any information you may have.. I have a criminal record no felonies, but a lot of stupid mistake misd.
DUI highest rate BAC/driving without licence
corruption of minors/furnishing alcohol to minors/ restriction on alcoholic beverages/learners permit violation.
simple assault/harassment
theft by unlawful taking/this was a misd less than 50 dollars. really stupid mistake I did for someone else.
all of these were mostly 3 years ago..DUI is 3 years old, and im looking at transam I talked to a recruiter said there would be no problem which I jjust don't believe. Werner says I have to wait a couple for years for multiple alcohol convictions.. needless to say I was an alcoholic and since then quit all together. I am 25 years old right now this all was done when I was 21..conviction dates took longer. Trucking is just what I want to do. Im even staying single to make sure I do this right. I do nothing but work and save money and about to start in a month at truck driving school. Yall think ill ever get a chance OTR?
what are my chances of getting hired in the next couple years or this year.

Let me put this in here from the start. We all know how these threads can go. The OP is asking for advice, not to to be admonished for past mistakes. If you can provide that advice then please do so, if you want to get on a soapbox, then don't.

Well my dui is pretty old but it was 5 years before any major insurer of commercial vehicles would touch me and some carriers at that point in time tossed your app if you had ever had a dui including the carrier I worked for .
ethos Thanks this. -
It's really all up to the insurance companies. You're definitely a high risk driver in their eyes, which doesn't make you a bad person, just a liability to insure.
MidWest_MacDaddy, bzinger and ethos Thank this.
