what are my chances of getting hired in the next couple years or this year.

Never ever lease a truck at TransAm. You will be driving for free. The only ones making money leasing are the trainers. You can train after 6 months expierience. Solo lease guys get negative paycheck or less than $500 week.
Being company driver you will average 2500 miles or less because you have to swap trailers twice a week minimum. But you will get paid $500 to 800 a week.
They trick newbies into leasing on daily basis. They won't let drivers near the newbies until they get those lease papers signed.

You mentioned 2500 miles or less. How much "less" are you referring to?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Full week driving you average 2500 miles. You can get 2800 miles some weeks.
Transam hauls meat loads. Sometimes you wait 10 to 20 hours at meat plant. But most loads are over thousand miles.
Coming off home time you will have bad week, maybe 1800 miles or less.
Transam is doable as company driver. Get a year then leave.

    born&raisedintheusa Thanks this.

You might want to look into PAM Transport. I talked to a driver who had a DUI that wasn't even 3 years old, and they put him on. They train and reimburse for certain schools.

Actually to become a UPS driver your looking at 6 to 8 years in their wharehouse. Now the package delivery guys in the little cargo vans, that you just sweated 6 years for, $90K to $100K a year, by then your DUI's are a moot point. And they are teamsters. In Phoenix they make $32.00/hr. with lots of OT.
I know if I were in my early 20's that's where I'd be.

So are you clean & sober now?

DUI's and other offenses show, just as you stated, lack of good judgement. Lack of good judgement in a big truck is a bad thing. But if you beat the bushes hard enough, someone may give you a shot. If it were me, I'd keep you on a real short leash for awhile, so you should expect that.

    Do you have a CDL?

And if your problems were pre-CDL that's a big plus, I'm assuming they were, cause DUI in Arizona with a CDL, is 10 year suspension of any driving privilege. Even if your on a moped.

    Good luck, stay sober.
