They are 1050's I don't run anything bigger as with sand you weigh out way before you cube out, and bigger trailers are harder to load without getting overweight. I've looked at the areomac and in my opinion they are ugly as hell and I can't see that they would give much fuel gain on short hauls like we do.

This is not true. Just bought a reman for $4700.00. Trailers are hard to find. But blowers are still available.

It absolutely is true. That is EXACTLY the quote I was given for a NEW blower. New, as in out of the box, never been used, new. I've never heard of reman, but if you got a blower at that cost, good for you. You outta share with the rest of the class, who you bought your blower from and when. Seems like there is a few here looking to get into this business of hauling Frac. I'm sure they'd all like to pay 4700.00 for one, too. Mark, I wouldn't throw those types of figures out, just for the drama of it.

And as a side note on lack of blowers, we signed on months ago with Tim Ables Trucking out of Kilgore Tx. 2 of our rigs sat in their yard for over a month, waiting on blowers. We weren't the only ones....

Aggravated Owner - I got a quote last week in the Dallas area for $8500 installed for a Paragon blower. If you want their number let me know.

I've heard that the Paragon's are really decent blowers, compared to the G. Denver's, they're equally as good, and a tad cheaper. I really appreciate the offer on a contact, but we're hauling frac sand with our belly dumps to a facility that refines it and makes it into the sand that goes out to the rigs. We are doing well with this gig.
    But, thanks again Jeff.

For your info it wasnt for drama. I got it at southeastern pneumatic in GA. And that was a month ago. You just have to look. They are out there. But yes for a complete setup your looking into about $9000 -10,000.00. Like any type of trucking, when you change the type of hauling that you will be doing it COST MONEY. Especially when it is specialized. Go and look what it takes to set up to pull liquid tank, It takes MONEY to get started. Yes Texas and a few states prices are higher then others. But you got to look further. I have been in frac sand for awhile. Had 4 trucks but know I have 3 trucks and trailers. And yes I worked in TX,OK,LA,NM,CO and now in PA. So i think I know what Im talking about.

    Awesome...

But, no need to say that what I was quoted wasn't, "True".
Yeah, like you said, "They are out there.." and I believe that is pretty obvious. But, I decided to look regional, which I did, and I also decided not to haul frac in Pneumatic tanks. We found other greener pastures! Trust me, I'm sure a state like Oregon have them for real cheap, but it's not that important to me or my company.

I wish ya luck out there, Mark!
