What are some good companies for O/O

Usher Transport is a regional tank carrier that leases owner operators. You may do better elsewhere as far as revenue, but most of their owner operators that I am familiar with have been there for years. I spoke to them briefly years ago and didn’t like their dispatch being forced, but I believe they may have relaxed that.

 

In my opinion the best company you will ever lease to, will be the one where you have your own authority and lease to that company the truck you wish to operate. That is my goal at least. To one day have my own authority.

 

Own authority is Almost impossible to do in chemical hauling

He either leases on under the carrier's authority or he has his own authority and becomes the carrier. He would have to have the work brokered to him from the carrier with the freight (or their brokerage) if he was a carrier (his authority). Otherwise he leases on and runs under their authority. He can't be the carrier under a lease.
