I used to drive for W/S from '96 to '02. After going full time for the national guard for 8 years( 4 driving heavy haul as a dual status technichian) and graduating from a 2 yr. school in machine tool technology only to find that machinists jobs in my area don't pay me enough to pay the bills and realizing that I am a driver first and foremost, I am wondering if I can earn enough OTR. When I was driving for them before, 10 to 12 thousand miles a month was the norm and I was happy as a clam. I do miss the road, but now I have a house and student loans to pay for, I need to average those miles to make OTR driving work for me.
By the way, do Mike and Wendy still drive?
Thanks,
Ken
What are the average monthly miles solo drivers getting lately?

I get between 1500-4000 a week. So about 2750/wk avg. Plus bonuses, stop pay etc... (And they also increased breakdown pay to $100/day.)
Rexerken and spunkymonkey Thank this.
