I don’t think 280 is that bad they probably just see how long it looks with the smaller sleeper

I hear that all the time myself. Like you im 280 with a set forward axle. I can put it anywhere except a pilot and loves. I literally can not pull out of those tiny spots if a truck is to the left and right of me. But those tight job sites? No problem just might take an extra pull up or two. The wheel base giving me room for a sleeper large enough to have running water and a table to sit down at is well worth the extra minute or two the rare times i got to get into an extra tight spot

They certainly make life on the road a whole lot better. No waiting in line at truck stops for a shower, home cooked meals 99% of the time, thats just a couple of the benefits.

Lol, imI wondering, because I have new frame rails 305 wheelbase, and seems to wander alot, maybe should have been doubled up, but that's also why it needed new rails, corrosion caused spread between old frame rails

ImL? That definitely should be double frame there is a guy on you tube that mentioned spraying the double frame down with some kind of lubricant and then silicone seal it in ..say it prevents corrision according to him that is the only reason he got a double frame after finding out the corrision can be prevented..another option he talked about was only placing sections of inserts in the high stress areas that’s most likely to warp . Maybe that u could be a better option depending on what u intend to haul
