Hey guys, I'm trying to put a list together of thing I must have on a truck. If you would please tell me what you just can't do without. I'm planning to go to orientation on the 29 with Roehl and after the 8 days of orientation and 14 days with a trainer, I will have my own truck. Trying to price things online so they will be home when I bring my truck home for the first time. Please included your entertainment, maps, electronics, etc.

Yes..... some of the older hands on here might get a laugh.. But get you a Rand McNally laminated road atlas you will need that. something like $40-$50..Used to be anyhow.

The ROW....you know...back row of the truck stop.....that's where the action is :biggrin_25524:

As for what you need......I suspect you'll have to be the judge of that. Don't take more than you can carry in the event you find yourself on the dog....(you probably won't get that either)

    Pilot1 Thanks this.

Depending on what your routes are going to be select clothing accordingly, shower bag and shower shoes are a must in the shower bag. Laundry soap and dryer sheets, purchasing those at truck stops are crazy expensive.

    Personal entertainment depends on you

Window cleaner, paper towels, a pack of shop rags always does a driver good. Hand cleaner, work gloves.

Bed linen, I carry a sleeping bag also for the winter since if you have a break down your up the creek in a cold climate.

    TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

Sorry that no one answered your question dude. Other than the Rand McNally map..I was waiting for an answer because I also am leaving this coming Sunday, 10/21 and would like a list for the truck. I found out that a trucker's GPS cost $400 and the Rand McNally around $50(the laminated one) phone, flashlight, pocket knife, (have a box cutter also) clothes and a sleeping bag , and don't know if I'll need that, a roll of tissue, babywipes, and a water bottle, and some ASPIRIN. I'm taking my car with me and its packed with stuff. That all I could think of I have my lap top but I don't know if I want to be dragging that thing around. That's all I got. Hopes some else can add something helpful.
