Gee SNOWY I always thought my trucks had to come BACK empty , all the $ I missed out on , oh wait they do come back loaded.

Again as CANADA / USA are major trading partners its likely that the close to 20,000 trucks a DAY crossing the borders are LIKELY loaded with freight,

But what do I know Im not a retire MECHANIC that cannot figure out why Magnetic lights will not stick to an ALUM trailer pulled by my leased to own KW with a motor older than the truck :)

Rick G the trash contract with Michigan and the City of Toronto has been pretty well done away with so not that many TRASH trucks crossing at Blue Water like in the past.

    Hi there,

after reading this thread another question comes to my mind:
Do I need a FAST card for hauling hazmat / dangerous goods from Canada to the US and vice versa? Some funny discussions fly around and I do not find any official material via Google.
    Thanks!

You do NOT need a FAST card to transit the border with hazmat in either direction. We haul hazmat both ways without FAST and without question.

Also, I think some parts of Canada have restrictions on how long your tractor wheelbase can be.
And I think Ontario and Quebec require your truck speed to be governed at no more than 65 mph.
Also, there are different rules for spread axle trailers in Canada.
