This is why I do not like driving solo although I have. I prefer teaming. I have always been respected when I was on the road. Even tho I never had a problem I didn't sleep very well as a single woman on the road. I can hold my own...cause you mess with me ur getting a boot up ur arse. Anyone knocks on my door and disturbs my beauty sleep I am going to beat the holy ghost into you. lol

Truck Town in Fontana, California (now demolished) and the old TA in Conley, Georgia south of Atlanta. Both in rough areas.

The one off of 440 that you speak of....would that be the old Tooley's truck stop? That is way before my time, but the legends live on, and not in a good way.....

TA in Lake Station, IN was one of my go to places when I had to run in that area. Everyone else wanted to go right up the road to Gary and deal with the BS there with the new Petro and others. Never an issue with parking at Lake station and never had anyone mess with me. The restaurant at the time was decent (2017). Not sure about now after the covid scam crap.

Worst ones that have no lights around it and looks pretty abandoned. Safest, Love’s and Flying J but could be wrong. Been out of trucking for a bit.

Some Love's and other truck stops MAY be safe. Depends on where you at. Some of the TS I have seen, you would be safer in Afghanistan
