Whites was also a good one.. but heard the old man passed and it's on a down hill swing. Which don't surprise me.
Also don't mind the T&R out east of Knoxville.

The only other TA nearby is in Jessup, Maryland (TA Baltimore South) ...
That truck stop does not have the greatest reputation. About three years ago about this time of year, a child was inappropriately touched in the bathroom and Channel 13 showed security camera footage of him and what they said was a driver walking around the facility and outside in the parking lot. -

I agree with the first post to this thread. The old Walt Whitman was one nasty truck stop before it got torn down.
There is a little fuel stop in Elloree, SC down from the FoodLion DC that has nasty food, I may would park there but never eat food from that grill again after what I found in some food I ordered there one time.
The TA in south Baltimore, aka Jessup used to be nasty but I think it got cleaned up some. Buffet there is still nasty though.
The Pilot in Charlotte, NC is a dump. I used to always see some of the nastiest looking lot lizards at that one. Sometimes I could not tell what gender they were. -
I also like the Pilot in Newbergh, NY. I always walk across the street to a diner called Stewarts Airport Diner, or that is what it was called 3 years ago. They had excellant food!

The safest are the 1's where there are no guns and the most dangerous are where there are lots of guns

Aussie's... they crack me up.Jason George Thanks this. -
I 10 exit 43 in Louisiana. The Exxon across from Loves. Out of this world food and the friendliest staff you will ever meet. The lady that works the fuel desk during the day is one of a kind. Her husband owns trucks. I actually drove for him. Also the Frog city travel plaza in Rayne Louisiana exit 87. If you want REAL cajun cooking this place is a must. Lastly, The Longhorn at exit 4 in Louisiana. Nice quiet place. 100 gallons of fuel gets you 8.99 off anything on the menu. Theres a night club thats open open on the weekends with indoor bull riding and lots of music and dancing. For those that lke the dancing girls theres a strip club across the street. It might sound like a noisey place but Ive never been disturbed while staying here.
