I dont really keep track, if i dont feel safe, I stay in my truck, lock the doors, and use my patented safety device, quick strap on my doors, only way in is through the windows.

Where might I find this strap you speak of??

You can use your seat belts or just buy a small ratchet strap and hook that to both doors.

T/A in Mt. Vernon, MO. I-44 x46 Great buffet, the cook is in and out constantly checking temps, cleaning and restocking food. It is also the only T/S I have seen attendants who help you fuel and wash windows.

Rt-30 in I believe Plymouth, In. Decent food, usually parking (dirt lot), and nice people.

I also like the T/A in Barstow, CA. Food is ok, used to be better though, lots of parking and nearby restaurants and shopping.

I think the T/A's in Ontario, CA. have improved greatly, the one without the hotel in front is the better of the 2, and I usually spend my reset there and spend the day walking around the Ontario Mall (humongous).

Wow, trukkerchris, you picked two of my worst.

The one in Plymouth, IN on the north side served me meatloaf and mashed potato's with a 6 inch hair in it. When I complained the waitress took it off and when I got it back I got about half the meatloaf back broke up in pieces and microwaved to hell and back. You could tell it was the same food. I threw $2 down on the table for my drink and walked out. I could hear the waitress yelling at the cook as I left.

The TA in Barstow I sat down for a steak dinner. I unwrapped my silverware from the napkin and dove in. The first bite I noticed sharp objects on the fork. I looked and there was dried food on the fork and spoon with lip tracks. I about puked. Neither of them places will I ever go to again.

Ontario east is much better than the west side. The west side is known for where all the bad hangs out. Though the lot lizzards bounce back and forth.

I know the place. It's off I-285, right near a TCW drop yard we used to use. I remember parking there last year to grab a bite to eat - before I learned our company had actually banned us from stopping there. I was there for only a few minutes before I saw exactly why they didn't want us using that stop: there was a guy behind the fence along the street leisurely pacing back and forth. It took me a couple a minutes to realize what he was doing: he was casing the trailers and seeing which ones were unsecured, probably to rob them later that night. Needless to say, I cut my visit short and went elsewhere to dine.

Most dangerous its either Pilot in W. Memphis or the Pilot in Birmingham. One night I was there and the armed security chased some vagrant out the store while firing his .45, it literally rocked my truck violently. As far as prostitutes the TA in Denver colorado. 10 to 12 girls running from truck to truck I coulnt believe it. Safest and nicest i'll give it to the Iowa 80. It has a theatre room u can't beat that....... I heard the girls at the Ta East in Fontana r pretty hot.

We're not even allowed to be anywhere near that place. Fortunately, we have a full-service terminal right around the corner, so there's no need for us to bother with all the "fun" activities there.

Yeah, they are (especially when compared to the average L/L). I still wouldn't touch them with a 20-foot pole.

Actually the Pilot on the Northside is the safest truck stop in W Memphis. The other one that had all the problems was sold to Loves. I never had any problems there. The Petro has security and the BBQman has some good grub.

I would say the Pilot in Birmingham has more hustlers and crackheads. I spent many nights there too and never had problems. You see and meet some interesting people. It's one of them cluster... Pilots

That truckstop up in Jersey City use to be pretty rough. I'd always park at the little restaurant under the bridge a couple blocks away. It's close to the police station and they have some killer food.
