Now now groundpounder.......everyone knows those things that are not actually weapons (even though they look like weapons) are not to be used for purposes other than what they were intended for. :biggrin_25520:

The TA is actually located in Ontario. Fontana is right next to it and equally shabby, but in my experience driver the TA West is the wild one. The TA East is where you go if you want to go to sleep, the West is where you go for other entertainment.

One time I was driving from the fuel isle to the gate, (you must go through the parking lot for this), I saw, No Exaggeration, at least 50 gorgeous model looking women (YES LIKE CALENDAR MODELS!!!) in florescent colored 2 piece bikinies, walking around knocking on every single truck door and crawling all over the parking lot...They were not real lizards. Decoys used by enforcement agencies or something of that nature...Way too cute for lizards....And that was the last time Ive ever seen this...

And speaking of bad areas, I was delivering to a King City Autozone (CA.) when I realized I was being stalked by a huge gorilla looking black guy, (dude was like 6'8" at least) trying to lure me in behind some buildings. It was the ONE time I left my truck without my 'utility blade," and I remember thinking clearly to myself as I was getting out of the truck, "ehhh, Its just this one time...Nothing is going to happen..I dont need it."

Of course I happened to lock my keys in my truck at the same time...No blade..No safe haven besides a carls across a 700' parking lot...

Thankfully I intercepted a tow truck who was driving by nice enough to slim jim me in my truck...but never never again will I leave my cab without my handy dandy box cutter, or my tire sticks, or some good ol chain lol.

Ok, believe it or not I have actually read the opinions for 95% of this thread while waiting to finish up some business before getting back on the road. I've been off the road for 2 years, so things may have changed, but here are my top 3 of both.

    Best:
Petro Rochelle, IL. I was on a dedicated run as an O/O from Rockford, IL to Elkhart, IN and would travel the extra miles for clean showers, decent food, and nice people.

Wild Wild West Las Vegas, NV. Great location from the strip, plenty of parking, great CDL rates and bonuses if you get a room, and liberal ####tails while gambling.

Petro Reno/Sparks NV. Except during a promotional period like truckfest or something there is ample parking, limit poker available, free food (Hot dogs) and very friendly people working the T/S casino.

Lee-Hi is a close runner up.

    Worst:
    Dallas off of I20 http://bit.ly/PIccP
There was a no name T/S in NY that I thought I was in the middle of "They serve human meat"

    Any truckstop in NM
