Last time pulled in the area, I drove across the river and parked at the pilot in West Memphis. Not much better but no lot lizards but a few folks trying to sell things.
What are the safest and most dangerous truckstops??

I can't stand the west Memphis stops. Dope dealers won't stay off the radio!
Truckergirl0720 Thanks this. -
That's why I do stay off the radio. For every useful and helpful voice on there you get 4 bozos who hog the airwaves. My co-pilot always barks at people who get too close.

That would be the infamous skyway diner---Actually that hood looks way worse than it is--but lots safe hidey holes nearby--but if area makes ya nervous--best bet is run up the pike to the VinceCondoCruiser and Speedloader Thank this.

Been there - long time ago - best meal was breakfastCondoCruiser Thanks this.

Yeah that's it. I couldn't think of it last night. I haven't been there in years. I remember the food was good and large quantities for the buck. Back in the 90's I use to run Laz-Z-boy up there twice a week I would stay there. Not once did my door get knocked on.

I dunno if the Vince is all that much better than Jersey City, LMAO.

Saw some hookers leaving the Love's there on 78 once when I was on my way to Pacific Paper for our regular Memphis to Family Dollar in Odessa, TX run one morning.
-
Now we know how all of those Memphis hookers ended up in Odessa.
