What are the safest and most dangerous truckstops??

There is a tiny ts in Thibodaux, LA called the Colonels Truck Stop. There was a good bbq place inside but they moved and just a regular burger and po-boy shop took its place.

 

How is the Petro in Scranton PA?

 

In terms of safety--Id say no problem--BUT--other than that IMHO--it SUX--laid out poorly--dark--food isnt even up to Petro's normal poor standards....but not whole lotta choices in area....

 

There's always the TA in Buckhorn

 

They really cleaned both of the T/A s in Ontario. There is a car cruising almost 24/7 to keep anyone that doesn't have a CDL away.

It depends on where you are, if you have a permit (where required), and if your permit comes from a state that has reciprocity with the state you are in. Illinois, California, New York, and New Jersey have the strictest gun laws so I would read up and be careful.

 

Thanks I wont be out west or in the northeast I will be in the Illinois so i will check the laws I do have a permit in Florida sounds like I would like to carry since im new to trucking and it takes alot to scare me but was told DOT did not allow us to carry in our trucks
