Years ago ..... and I mean YEARS ago ... I always used to stop in Beto Junction, KA. There was a dirt lot, some pumps, a small Ma and Pa diner, and an amazing bakery ! It wasn't even on the map. Besides that, there was a Church and a few houses. Anytime I was on the 35, I stopped there and had a good meal, a great sleep, and loaded up on baked goods. Some years back someone told me there was a TA or something there now ...... sigh ...........

A plate of Beto Junction biscuits and gravy was always a must for me back in the good old days. It was one of the only decent stops between TX and points north running 75.

    Truck Stop Trivia Challenge:

Let's see who can explain the history around 'BETO Junction' ?

I know everyone is just going to Google it ...... but at least maybe someone will get an education out of it !

Hint ! Beto Junction is not really a place at all !

Cut and paste answers don't count towards the free coffee prize ...... if you're taking a load close to my place, the prize becomes : A moose sausage and egg breakfast with all the trimmins' on my deck ! Truck parking nearby ......
