    I'm headed out to my first trip the USA in nearly a year. Back last year it was 14 hours on duty with 11 hours max drive time and an off duty break of 30 min needed before 8 hours. I heard talk of hours of service reform a few months ago, and was wondering if anything has changed in the last year? I am getting conflicting information from site to site.

    Thanks in advance, and my bad for the noob question.

    Yeah, nothing has changed (for now). You're likely getting conflicting information because there have been a few minor changes that have not gone into effect yet. Even when the new changes go into effect in a few months, if you run by last years rules, you will still be legal. The new rules are just meant to add a little flexibility, but like I said, they arent in effect for a few more months.
