Dustin,
Appearances matter more than intent. When you post the same thing in several different places actively encouraging people to seek you out "for more information" it appears that you're chasing the referral money.
You don't post a lot so most of us don't recognize who you are or can read between the lines. It's easy to go down the wrong path. Hemingway (or maybe Faulkner) said it is not what the writer writes that matters but what the reader reads. Everyone in the SNI section could take a minute and re-read a post before they get worked up about it. Over the last few months offense has been taken where little to.none has been intended. If another member takes umbrage at your post try and understand what may have set them.off. Not many of us have DFO's word smithing ability.
Now everybody join hands and we'll sing Kumbyai and then Jacob.Jingle Hymer Schmit. We will NOT be dining Micheal Rowed his Boat or I had a hammer.
What are we not paid for at Schneider?

How many CDL's did you end up getting?
TennMan Thanks this. -
Furhter, given its really helpful info(that HAS been shared here before) its more above board to do so publically,. PM's are unnecessary for that kind of stuff. Its already listed on the website. Only thing you guys can really add is actual experience of things that didnt go smoothly and how to avoid.
For me , seeing it written in 3 places with the same wording suggested recruitment.
Absolutely be helpful. For all of us. In the open. Answers you provide openly may be used by ME or others for the benefit of others seeking info. -
Ok I'm a noob so I'll bite and I had a trainer tell me to use the jake brakes in the rain. Why should you not use jake brakes in the raiin?
-
Due to possibility that it could cause you to jack knife your truck by causing harder than normal braking. .jakecat22 Thanks this.

The jake slows down only the drive wheels and wet roads can be considered a slippery surface. This means an increased risk of a jackknife because only the drive wheels have forces slowing them down as opposed to all wheels on both truck and trailer. This makes it more likely for the vehicle to break traction only at the drive wheels which can lead to a loss of control and/or jackknife.
Using it in the rain is considered ok by some, what you really want to avoid is using it on ice or snow, or perhaps lose gravel or sand if you drive on it. -
Yikes and my trainer had me using jake at night going down steep hills in Kentucky in the rain!
