What are you using in your truck for a Printer?

I’m guilty of not carrying a printer… I did all the research and lost sleep over it etc but really never needed it.

I have hand written a couple of BOL using google as a guide. I realize I will probably need a printer next week now that I’ve shunned them publicly. Lol

 

I used the jfax service. Or Gmail.

Never needed a truckstop.

 

Look into portable printers.

I've got a old (10 year old) cannon ip100... color/bw... has a external battery... will print around 200 pages before needing recharge...

 

I use a cannon mg3620. I never have issues with ink drying or running out. But I also print 20 pages a week between permits and load paperwork.

 

Lol, well since you asked, I bought a laser printer for my truck when they got affordable. It's a Canon, got it on Amazon for about $100. I got that certain one because we bought one for the home office and it has been 1000% better than any old inkjet we ever had.

As soon as I rigged it up I learned how much laser printers pull when starting up. You need at least a 1500 watt inverter if I remember right. Mine dims lights with my 2500w inverter. It works awesome though. I've put one toner cartridge in it in a few years and I print several pages a day.

 

I bought a Canon myself.
Canon Image Class 24XX black laser printer & scanner.
$90+taxes at Wally World.
The best printer ever, but, it needs an inverter.
1500w at least. The cartridge last forever.
The quality is great. Cost per page very low.
I'm not buying Ink Jet anymore.

 

My laser printer in my truck is finally starting to print a little light. I have a new toner cartridge sitting beside it waiting as long as possible.

I just looked up Amazon, where I bought mine. I thought it was a Canon, it is a Brother. Same difference. Anyway, bought it in Feb of 2018 and still going on that toner. We have put a toner cartridge or two in the one in the house but my wife and kids print all kinds of school crap on it, especially during Covid.
