I am curious to know if any owner operators are willing to share what are their current rates from Chicago to Eastern Board such as PA, NJ and NY and what they get paid for their deadhead miles?

Why would an O/O get paid for deadhead miles?
Isn’t that something you would just need to take into account when negotiating a rate?

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

The reason I ask about deadhead is when you need to move from an area that has nothing, I have had these experiences a few places. Usually it occurs when there is a constant load in a different region that I am currently in.

you don't negotiate deadhead with brokers. I'm sure they can care less. You calculate what you need to haul the load, from where you're at to pick it up and where it's going. How long have you been driving?

My rate to even enter Chicago for a pickup is $5/mile to points east. I don't go west. And, I don't expect to be paid for empty miles. I've yet to meet a broker who was interested in paying me to drive empty.
