What areas of trucking as a driver would one get the most money?

would it be the long distance driving?

    How does the system work?
or working on your own with your own truck?

What could the average trucker make? in a year and month?

how many hours of the day do you actually work?

LTL is the way to go for money. However they all require at least a year experience.

Starting out as a company driver, you should average $40k per year. You won't find this at all companies so it's best to 'interview' drivers and find a company that will satisfy your needs.

Visit a truck stop and ask drivers about their company. Most will be happy to share their wisdom. Take notes, then continue your research online.

I know a salesman fo CFL Houston....one pup to Dallas overnight will gross over 50k. They usually ship 5 sets to each major city every night...... plus or minus and that info is a couple of years old but you get the idea.
( plus they bring a set back )

    ....is why.
