Happened to me one time too. Switched truck with another driver to bring truck to garage with a trailer, had some minor work to do on both.

Driver told me inspection was good. Made to turns and lost trailer in the middle of the road. Blocking a 4 way intersection just behind a big shopping center... Taking the 2 air hoses and 7way plug.

Never cranked a trailer that fast in my life and change the 2 air line. Took about 10 minutes and alot of swearing!

Remember when I was hauling cars, I'd only strap the wheels down on one side. If I was really being lethargic or going just down the road I'd only strap one wheel on each car. Was a bad habit, but I wasn't the only one. Nobody ever saw because it was enclosed.

There was a time that Chevron, ARCO, Shell, Gulf, and all the other big ones would not hire someone that went to a CDL school. Back then the CDL school were just starting out and they gave the reason that they wanted to train that driver because they knew that drivers coming out of these schools had already picked up some bad habits. Things change and I have to say that this was a good set-up. The driving now have nothing compared to the drivers of those times.
