Ive not been able to find boots consistantly for a long time now and the few i do find are usually such poor quality that the $200+ peicetags are an insult lol nothing like new boots falling apart after 3 weeks thanks hoss boots.... People dont like selling bigfoot sized boots apparently. And trying to find 18EEs that actully fit is like pulling teeth lol.
That said my current pair was a gift from a friend in the military. He told his quartermaster my issue and they somehow got some ordered for me as a christmas gift. They cost a fortune apparently, though they wont tell me how much.
Used to be able to get keens or redwings which were literally perfect and outlasted anything else, but they both got rid of my size to "better serve the customer" save one pair that wont work as a work boot. So eh? -
Red Wing #2408. I’ve been wearing those for about 15 years now.
I’ve found that you get what you pay for with boots, and every time I’ve went cheap I’ve regretted it. Either they hurt, or only lasted 6 months.SoulScream84, RockinChair and Diesel Dave Thank this. -

I'm a Redwing guy, and even more so if you have a boot that you can get the custom insole. I deliver 3-5 days a week (typically 3-5 stores per day), and my feet aren't sore even with thin socks. The upfront price can be a detractor, but if you take care of them they can last for years.

Keens don’t last for me and I agree getting sick of spending over 200-250 a pair only to have them last 6 months or less. Worse part is leaks. If the leather lasts nice then the soles crack or wear out too fast. Gave up on Redwing long ago while the quality was there the just didn’t last any longer for the money.
My last pair was Danner. Going on about 18 months and they held up really good. Definitely getting them again.tramm01 Thanks this. -

Thanks guys. Great info. I have done some research on Redwings and it seems like the quality had gone down hill with their "Supersole 2.0" soles. Guys are saying they use to get 5+ years out of them and now only get a year.
tramm01 Thanks this.
